Ultradur® Thermoplastic Polyester

Ultradur thermoplastic polyester from BASF is a partly crystalline, thermoplastic polyester based on polybutylene terephthalate (PBT). It is used as a material for high-quality, highly stressed engineering parts in a wide variety of industrial sectors. Ultradur thermoplastic polyester features high stiffness and strength, very good dimensional stability at high temperatures, low water absorption, good resistance to many chemicals, and outstanding heat aging performance.

It is a resin for molding household appliances and equipment which must be resistant to chemicals and other media, and be capable of producing a excellent surface finish. In addition, some types of kitchen equipment have to with-stand high temperatures. B4040G3 HT's resistance to high sustained-service temperatures makes it a material of choice when things get hot. Internal testing demonstrates that the product meets the UL94 HB (0.8 mm thickness) flame requirements
