Consumer Product Applications

Ultrason® E, Ultrason® S, and Ultrason® P are transparent, high temperature-resistant plastics. They are already used in apparatus engineering
and in the electrical and electronics fields. In addition, there are many reasons for their use in the food and household sectors as a substitute for glass,
metal, ceramic, and porcelain: temperature resistance up to 180ºC (short-term up to 220ºC), good mechanical properties and high fracture
resistance, resistance to superheated steam, and exceptional chemical resistance.

The typical plastics advantages of Ultrason such as design flexibility, low-weight parts, fracture resistance, reusability and recyclability offer
appreciable savings in the overall system. These benefit also explain why Ultrason is used to an increasing extent in applications that involve the
preparation and reheating of hot meals.
Key properties of Ultrason E:
- Temperave resistance up to 180ºC (short-term up to 220ºC)
- Fracture-resatant:
- Transparent or opaque
- Tough and impact-resistant
- Suitable for food contact
